FAQ's

What is dry-cleaning?

Dry cleaning is a process that is similar to washing but it is done without water. Garments are cleaned using a machine that resembles a giant washer using a liquid that does not contain any water.
Since moisture is eliminated from the cleaning process and replaced with the special liquid mentioned above, garments can be safely cleaned without shrinkage. Also, by the elimination of moisture extends the life of the garments.
Once the garments are cleaned, they are pressed to take out the wrinkles from your garments.

What are the benefits of having my garments dry-cleaned?

Dry-cleaning removes dirt, debris and oil from the garment. This includes body oils, food oils and even wax. Dry cleaning can also remove tough-to-remove stains such as coffee and perspiration. The process makes the garment look as good as new.

Which garments can be dry-cleaned?

All good quality fabrics such wool, silk, satin, chiffon, tulle, acetate, linen, 4-ply polyester, leather and suede based garments require dry-cleaning. Garments embellished with fancy beadwork, pearls, rhinestones or sequins and fine "designer" knit suits too would benefit greatly from dry-cleaning.

Does frequent dry-cleaning shorten the life of the garment?

This couldn't be further from the truth. Dry-cleaning, on the contrary prolongs the life of the garment. By removing stains that make the garment unusable and dirt that can cause rapid wear of fibres, dry-cleaning adds to the longevity of the garment.

How soon should I get my clothes dry-cleaned after wearing them?

It is advisable to get your clothes cleaned at your earliest in order to avoid yellowing, discolouration and weakening of the fabric. It must be noted that hard to remove stains such as food, drink and perspiration typically set in within 48 hours.
